Support for Academic Women
The University of Melbourne is committed to increasing the number and proportion of women at Level E. Data included in the report Faculty Employment Profile by Gender 2003 shows that the proportion of Level E (T&R) positions held by women has fallen from 17% in 2000 to 14% in 2003.
As part of its strategic program to address this gender imbalance the People and Fairness Unit currently supports academic women through development programs and networks such as Academic Women in Leadership. Programs are reviewed regularly in line with changes to the University's EOW priorities. For more information contact the People and Fairness Unit.
Faculty EOWW coordinatiors also provide seminars for women academic and general staff.
