Managing Change Program

The University is engaged in significant organisational reform which will impact all of us in one way or another. Organisational change is not just about work processes, systems, structure or strategy, it is also an emotional and psychological journey that will be different for each individual. Whilst change may seem daunting, it can also bring great opportunities. An integrated suite of programs is offered to support supervisors and staff navigate their way through the change process. These focus on enhancing self-awareness, skill building, providing different perspectives and developing techniques and strategies to effectively manage ourselves through the change.

Enabling the Change Journey

This workshop will assist supervisors to understand and articulate their leadership perspective to inspire a sense of purpose and direction for their team, developing a shared understanding of what needs to be achieved. It will assist them to recognise the stage of change their people are currently at and to develop positive strategies to support their team to engage with the changes and the new environment. My Change Journey

This workshop will assist those impacted by the change to understand their emotional and psychological needs and develop strategies they can use to take control of their lives, reducing the stress and anxiety emerging out of change. It aims to enable staff to engage and take a proactive approach to managing themselves effectively through the change and into the new environment. More information...

Building Optimism and Resilience

This workshop aims to support staff and supervisors impacted by change to develop a positive mindset along with a resilient ‘can do’ attitude. It will focus on learned optimism to enable flexible thinking when approaching work practices in the new environment. The workshop will include developing strategies to build personal resilience and an optimistic perspective in the changing environment.More information...

Snapshots

Snapshots will provide different perspectives on change through inspirational case studies, personal journeys and courageous leadership stories around managing change. They will raise awareness of the different elements of successful change and enable participants to connect their own change/work situation with others’ stories.
