Every effort is made to ensure that external providers included on the list have been highly recommended by members of staff, or by other universities. However, no 'guarantee' is implied, and the decision to engage an external provider is the responsibility of the department. To ensure the quality of this service, your feedback on any external program attended would be much appreciated.
- Association of Tertiary Education Administrators (ATEM)
Offers courses specifically for staff working in higher education. They also run a yearly conference addressing tertiary education management issues. - Australian Institute of Management (AIM)
Provides management education and training, professional development and information services. - CAE (Centre for Adult Education)
Offers short and accredited courses on a vast range of topics ‘from conversation skills to web design’. - Equal Employment Opportunity Network
Provides the latest information, training and development in EEO and diversity Issues - LH Martin Institute of Higher Education Leadership and Management
The Institute’s courses and services are designed for current and aspiring leaders and managers—both academic and professional—in higher education and VET institutions. - Maximum Impact Training and Development
Offers short courses in time management, public speaking, supervision, negotiating, as well as team building and consulting services. A 10% discount is available for University of Melbourne staff. - State Services Authority (formerly the Office of Public Employment)
Runs events and programs promoting better practice partnerships and people management as well as managing diversity forums. - Thomsett
